look, look! there’s a cloud in my kitchen!

…but there was no time to ponder how that could have happened. bianca and i went on a pilgramage to halcyon yarn in bath, or as we like to call it, mecca. it took us three and a half hours to get there and to our dismay we ended up on the doorstep 15 minuets before they closed. it was bad, but i still have nightmares about the horror and tears had we showed up 20 minuets later. we didn’t have much time to look around but i did get what i went there for. i got 2 lbs of cream colored roveing for dying. i gave bianca another $100 for as many lbs or coriadalle as she can buy then next time she goes by there in a week.
i used some i lily’s dyes. country classics i think they might be.
i want to make erika knight’s v-neck sweater on the cover of classic knits. since the crockpot only holds about a third of a pound i have to dye each patch seperatly and it is really hard to duplicate a color. oh well i think i will like it like that.
i also have tried my hand at spinning art yarn.
this is wool from the sheep on the farm that i carded then spun with bits of black fabric from my medusa costume 2 halloweens ago, and some shells and beads that used to be my favorite necklace.
hmmmm…. what else. oh yeah i made some earrings out of some feathers i found on top of a hay bale the other day.
well thats it for now… have a happy lunch.
