since i haven’t written in weeks, this is going to be a long photo tour.
first of all i finished my fourth pair of warm socks. they are wonderful and warm. i knit mohair into the toe and heel for warmth and reinforcement.
and now here is a giant photo tour of my happenings and creatings.
hand dyed corriadale
more hand dyed corriadale spun into sock yarn… there will be much MUCH more of this. i just bought and dyed 4 lbs of corriadale and it is all intended to be sock yarn.
ART YARN
natural wool with commercial roveing cocoons and beads wrapped with sewing thread.
corriadale spun with bits of stringy material and beads.
corriadale spun with quiviut and wrapped with sewing thread.
indigo dyed wool with natural wool cocoons spun with glass beads and wrapped with verigated orange sewing thread. this one is by far my favorite yarn i have ever spun. it reminds me of them gila river!
